FAQ
Quick answers about services, hosting, SEO, and a little more about me.
Services
Website work, how projects run, and what to expect.
We offer services in website design and creation, search engine optimization (SEO) and hosting. Hosting is covered more in the next category below.
We've found that those needing websites in these segments are the perfect fit for us and what we offer, as well as how we price things.
We are based in the United States and are happy to collaborate with clients all over the world.
All websites are built on the WordPress platform. Now a very robust platform, it allows maximum potential to achieve all that is necessary for success. This includes code customization, security, design, and SEO. Available plugins expand what's possible well beyond other platforms.
For a standard web design and creation project, our minimum fee is $5,000 USD. Prices may vary based on overall project scope. We provide a full upfront quote fixed for the entire project, with no hourly billing.
Projects vary in length but typically take between a few weeks and 2 months depending on the circumstances of each.
We follow the industry standard of 50% upfront and 50% after development is complete and the site is ready to launch.
Credit cards are the primary form of accepted payment, with checks also accepted for US-based clients. We also accept ACH and wire transfers, for both domestic and international clients.
Hosting
How managed hosting works, what's included, and how we keep your site fast and secure.
Hosting is where a website lives on a server that delivers it to visitors around the world. Hosting services vary widely in what's offered, covered, and maintained. It's important to find a host with solid, properly tuned and secured servers that offers the right features at a fair price.
WordPress started as a blogging platform and evolved into a highly versatile system suitable for any type of website. The appeal of WordPress comes with its overall stability, excellent codebase, and overall flexibility. WordPress also supports custom plugins, which can further enhance the sites that use them. As of early 2026, WordPress powers about 43% of all websites on the internet (roughly 475 to 522 million sites).
We offer two plans: Managed Care at $99 / month and Premium Care at $299 / month. Both include fully managed WordPress + hosting bundled together: no contracts, no hidden hosting fees.
Note that both plans include both WordPress management and managed hosting combined. Many businesses pay for these separately, often at a much higher combined total than what we charge.
You can definitely find cheaper non-managed options, and much more expensive ones too. It ultimately comes down to what you want from your hosting experience. If you go the bargain route, you will most likely be managing every aspect of the WordPress platform and your hosting experience which includes:
- The backend
- Security
- Backups
- Plugin / software updates
- All content updates
- And much more
Another risk of the bargain route is you won't know what the server setup is. Bargain route servers are typically loaded with websites in the thousands, all competing with one another to serve page loads to the end user. This results in a slower and poor site experience overall. In addition, it's very possible these servers are running very old hardware with minimal RAM, and are not optimized fully so that your site can run at its best.
The hosting we offer is truly everything included in a set monthly payment that does not change. WordPress platform management and hosting itself are bundled together, something many businesses pay separately for. There are no hidden hosting or maintenance fees. All servers are top-tier, with numerous latest AMD EPYC processors and hundreds of gigabytes of RAM.
My 25 years of experience managing servers and the backend, along with general coding skills, add to the premium experience. You'll always have peace of mind knowing your site is working properly, fully optimized, secure, and loading as fast as possible.
Both plans include management of the WordPress platform and the hosting itself, bundled together so you never have to deal with either side. No hidden hosting or maintenance fees; all infrastructure costs are covered in the monthly rate.
Included in both plans:
- WordPress platform and hosting management combined
- The latest ultra-fast servers
- No limit on total pages or images
- Basic Email: unlimited mailboxes
- Free SSL certificates
- No bandwidth limits
- No extra or hidden fees; you pay the same flat rate every month
- Full daily backups
- Continual speed & performance optimizations
- DDoS protection
- Malware scanning
- No contracts: your site is yours, cancel at any time
Premium Care additionally includes:
- Unlimited Quick Edits and Standard Edits (text, images, routine updates, handled for you)
- 25% off Page Refreshes & New Page Builds
- Priority Support: front of the queue
- Edits completed within 1–2 business days
- Annual SEO review
- Annual site review + improvement suggestions
Managed Care content edits are billed separately at flat rates when needed. See the hosting page for the full rate table.
Both plans include Basic Email: unlimited mailboxes at your own domain with no per-mailbox fees. We set it up for you and help you get it working on your computer and phone.
- Custom domain mailboxes (you@yourbusiness.com)
- Roundcube webmail
- IMAP/SMTP for Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, and other mail apps
- Works on iPhone and Android
- Spam filtering
- Aliases and forwarders
What it is not: Basic Email is standard mailbox hosting, not Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. It does not include Exchange or Google-style mobile synchronization, shared calendars and contacts, collaboration tools, or guaranteed real-time push notifications. Mail still arrives on the server immediately, and opening your mail app always shows your latest messages. The difference is that your phone checks for new mail in the background on a schedule rather than being alerted the instant it lands.
If your business depends on those features, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace is the right fit instead of Basic Email. Setup and administration of either is included with Premium Care and available as an add-on with Managed Care. Microsoft and Google licenses are billed separately on both plans.
Both plans run on the same premium infrastructure and include the same server maintenance, security, backups, and WordPress management. The difference is in the level of hands-on service for your business.
Managed Care ($99 / month): your site is professionally maintained and protected. All infrastructure is handled. Content updates are billed at flat rates when you need them. Basic Email is included and set up for you; Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration is available as an add-on.
Premium Care ($299 / month): everything in Managed Care, plus your site is actively worked on for your business. Unlimited Quick Edits and Standard Edits are included, larger work (Page Refreshes, New Page Builds, etc.) is 25% off for subscribers, support is prioritized, and we review your site and SEO annually to proactively suggest improvements. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration is included if you want it instead of Basic Email, with licenses billed separately.
If you only need occasional updates a few times a year, Managed Care is likely the right fit. If your site is a regular part of how you run your business and you want someone actively managing it for you, Premium Care is built for that.
Yes. If your needs change at any point, just reach out and we'll get you moved over. There are no lock-in contracts, so switching is straightforward.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
One-time, practical improvements focused on long-term organic performance.
It begins with a free consultation, and if we proceed, $500 for a full analysis / deep dive with a provided report, and $500 to have the changes implemented.
Some sites may already be fully optimized, which we will be honest and upfront about during the free consultation. Other sites may have some things working against them that are out of our control, like server speed / reliability. We will only accept a request if we know we can truly help make a difference.
You may start seeing minor organic search improvements in as little as a few days. However, our general rule of thumb is three months from when the changes were applied to see the full impact on your organic search ranking.
We offer the one-time service because we've found most sites are in great need of an SEO overhaul. Most sites are not built with proper SEO in mind and even those where it was claimed to be fall very short of being optimal for organic search results. Most monthly SEO services are, in our view, significantly overpriced for what they actually deliver.
No, and we are very upfront about this. We can overhaul your website to be at its best for search engines, but the overall organic search landscape is constantly changing.
Google may decide to adjust its algorithms to value something more, and if you're not accounting for it, your organic search reputation can be negatively impacted.
For example, for many years Google demoted sites that practiced “keyword stuffing.” Keyword stuffing is when a site deliberately puts their keywords excessively all over their pages, to the point that the visiting user has a poor experience and will likely exit the site. As of early 2026, Google has become less strict about demoting this practice, which is a prime example of a major change that sites playing by the rules may not be ready for.
(P.S. We still don't advocate or suggest engaging in the practice of keyword stuffing. :) )
No, as paid search is completely separate from organic search. We do not offer any optimization services for paid search.
Personal
A little more about me.
I am based in the United States!
I've been doing computer-related things in various forms for almost my entire life. I had a clear obsession with computers as a toddler in the early 90s which naturally transformed into an obsession with websites and coding around the year 2000. From there, I've loved becoming entranced with every new technological development along the way on the web. Computing with a focus on programming is still my main hobby and obsession to this day.
I pride myself on obsessive attention to detail and unwavering reliability. Those around me know that they can always count on me, no matter what, and I've found success with this with my other business and in the corporate world. I bring this same approach to everything I work on and everyone I interact with. You can always count on me to deliver the highest quality work.
I definitely struggle with perfectionism at times, but I've gotten to a point where I know when something is near perfect enough and to move on. Interestingly, my work in UX design in the past ten years taught me this to an extent. It has shown me, over and over, that there is only so much that can be done in website design and creation, so there is no need to obsess over "what ifs" and "could I do even more than what I have?" My extensive experience and knowledge is what I trust to guide me, and to not "borrow trouble" along the way.
Anything computer related of course (web especially), but I also love reading fiction, driving, exploring, traveling, relaxing on the lake, staring at the night sky / stars, taking very amateur-ish photos of beautiful places/scenery, and spending time with family and friends.
Cats all the way. My sister's cat she got when we were young randomly "chose" me and I've been cat-obsessed ever since. I have two amazing cats, Charley and Newt:
